Do new pokemon gold/silver cover red/blue/yellow too?
I read that HeartGold and SoulSilver have 16 gyms? I have gold and silver (not crystal) but havent played them in years. I just restarted my LeafGreen but will get SoulSilver soon. Will i be doing the ENTIRE Kanto (1st gen) storyline in SS as well as johto (2nd gen) or just be able to run around there? I.e. Should i finish leaf green or will i have to repeat myself in SS?
You will have access to the Kanto region, but the storyline will not be like red and blue. You will still be able to fight the gym leaders and catch the same legendary pokemon. There are also some bonuses exclusive to HeartGold and SoulSilver.
It’s pretty much the same with some new pokemon thrown in.
